Charlotte, N.C – Upgrade your dinner experience by savoring a spin on an age-old dish in a new light, thanks to the upcoming special dinner event organized by Resident Culture South End and Chop Chop Red Pot. The dinner event is scheduled for Tuesday, July 30th at 6 p.m. at the Resident Culture.
The dinner is an initiative by Erick Crawford, owner and executive chef at Chop Chop Red Pot. Crawford revealed one of the main dishes from the special event menu during a recent show appearance. He prepared a tantalizing top sirloin pastrami croquette paired beautifully with scallops and cream corn salsa. Another dish to expect at the gala is the chili crisp shrimp served with a tangy Bloody Mary cocktail sauce.
Apart from the headlining stars, the dinner will also showcase other delectable dishes. Patrons can expect a raw and charbroiled east coast oyster delicacies and a refreshing summer salad packed with arugula, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, tangy goat cheese, and a touch of lemon vinaigrette. A smoked chicken leg quarter and confit served with creamy and comforting garlic mashed potatoes are sure to be a savory treat. To sweeten the deal, a summer fruit crumble topped with fresh mint is part of the dessert menu.
The dinner event tickets are priced at $120 plus tax and gratuity. However, the event is limited to a few guests as it incorporates communal seating. A curated cocktail, and beer menu will accompany the dinner to enhance the culinary experience. Tickets can be purchased on Resident Culture South End’s website.
In addition to the lip-smacking food, a raffle is part of the event schedule showcasing high-value prizes donated by Chop Chop Red Pot and Resident Culture. All proceeds from the raffle go to the support of Charlotte chef Jamie Barnes and his family who have recently suffered a personal tragedy.
Interested individuals are encouraged to visit the websites of Resident Culture and Chop Chop Red Pot for more details about the event and to get a sneak peek of the dishes.
