The city of Charlotte, N.C. is ready to tantalize your tastebuds with a remarkable culinary experience featuring the much-adored pastrami. Resident Culture South End and Chop Chop Red Pot are joining hands to set up a sumptuous dining scene, providing a unique spin on the classic dish and more.
This exquisite dinner event is a collaboration between the Resident Culture South End, the epicenter of the city’s lively culinary scene, and Chop Chop Red Pot, led by the owner and executive chef, Erick Crawford. The culinary maestros plan to hold the special dinner on Tuesday, July 30 at 6 p.m.
The palette at this distinctive dinner explores new dimensions in achieving gastronomic pleasure. The menu prominently features a top sirloin pastrami croquette and succulent scallops accompanied by cream corn salsa. A crisp shrimp dipped in Bloody Mary cocktail sauce will also be available to the guests.
That’s not all. Dinner patrons will also be served oysters in two intriguing ways: raw and charbroiled east coast oysters. To balance the flavors, a refreshing summer salad with arugula, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, goat cheese, and lemon vinaigrette is on the menu. But wait, dinner is not complete without the grand finale – a summer fruit crumble with fresh mint.
The tickets for this extraordinary dinner are priced at $120 plus tax and gratuity. There is limited seating available with communal arrangement, offering an opportunity for intimate conversations and shared experiences over a carefully curated cocktail and beer menu paired with dinner. Tickets for this thrilling gastronomy experience can be directly purchased from the Resident Culture South End’s website.
In the spirit of community and helping a fellow man, a raffle will be held at the dinner as well. The prizes for the raffle, donated generously by Chop Chop Red Pot and Resident Culture, are of high value. The proceeds from the raffle will go towards supporting Charlotte chef Jamie Barnes and his family who have recently experienced a personal tragedy.
