Pedestrian tragically killed by vehicle in Greenville County

Greenville, S.C. – A somber cloud descended upon the city of Greenville in the early hours of Sunday as a pedestrian was fatally hit by a vehicle. The South Carolina Highway Patrol quickly arrived at the scene to assess the situation and begin investigations.

An unfortunate incident leading to a death on the road

The accident occurred approximately at 2:02 a.m. along U.S. 25 near Gant Street. According to the Highway Patrol, a northbound Ford Explorer struck a pedestrian attempting to cross the road at the time. Despite immediate attention from emergency services, the pedestrian sadly succumbed to the injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

The victim’s identity has yet to be disclosed by the County Coroner’s office, with further details pending contact with their next of kin. At this early stage, the reason the pedestrian was on the highway at this hour is still unclear.
