Philadelphia, PA – The Philadelphia Eagles are facing a tough situation as they cope with the absence of star wide receiver AJ Brown, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury. Head coach Nick Sirianni spoke to reporters after the Eagles suffered a narrow 22-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football, pointing out the significant impact of Brown’s injury on the team’s performance.

Brown, who posted impressive stats in the season opener with five receptions for 119 yards and a touchdown against the Green Bay Packers, is now in doubt for an undetermined amount of time. Sirianni stated, “I don’t know exactly how long he’ll be out yet, we’ll be constantly evaluating him,” expressing concern over his star player’s health.

The Eagles head coach emphasized that “Brown is one of the best players in the league and his absence impacts the team”. Last season, the 27-year-old Brown had a remarkable performance with 106 receptions, 1,456 yards, and seven touchdowns. His absence against the Falcons was felt greatly, raising questions about some of Sirianni’s tactical decisions during the game.

In a statement to ESPN, AJ Brown mentioned he “will be out for a couple of weeks.” However, there remains uncertainty about the exact length of his recovery period, leaving the Eagles and their fans anxious. Though there’s speculation that he could return by Week 5, when the Eagles host the Cleveland Browns at Lincoln Financial Field on October 13, nothing is guaranteed.

Currently, the Eagles have a record of 1-1, having secured a win against the Packers in the Brazil series before the close loss to the Falcons. As they prepare for their upcoming matches, the Eagles must find ways to adjust without their key receiver while navigating what looks to be a challenging season.
