Co-owners Jonas and Emily van Cleef, who also own Bloomin’ Blinds, a local blinds and shutters company, are excited to add this new venture to their business portfolio.

The van Cleefs’ passion for their business is evident. As customers streamed into the newly-reopened Blend Riverwalk for lunch, Jonas van Cleef watched the process, simultaneously keeping an eye on a live broadcast of a UEFA European Football Championship match. Despite this, his focus remained on the restaurant, confident in his ability to handle the day-to-day operations as a small business owner in Rock Hill.
Blend: A Healthy Dining Option
The restaurant provides healthy food options such as salads, power bowls, wraps, sandwiches, smoothies, and acai bowls. Customers can create their own meals or select from the signature entrees available. This convenient and healthy offering quickly made Blend a family favorite for the van Cleefs, who were once regular customers.
New Features and Additions
One of the significant changes made by the van Cleefs is the expansion of business hours. In response to customer suggestions, Blend now has extended hours, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day, introducing a breakfast menu where customers can create their own egg bowl, burrito, breakfast sandwich, or yogurt parfait, all while enjoying locally sourced coffee.
Additionally, a new kids’ menu inspired by their 6-year-old’s favorite Nutella banana order has been added. The van Cleefs also plan to launch a website and mobile app for online ordering and catering services, indicating their intention to meet the needs of a fast-paced and busy clientele that appreciates quick and healthy food options.

Located on Herrons Ferry Road, Blend Riverwalk is also available for mobile orders through apps like DoorDash and Grubhub. Jonas Van Cleef emphasized that they want to provide a fast service but super healthy option that tastes amazing, confident that once customers try the food, they will become long-term patrons.
