York County, South Carolina – A tragically fatal motorcycle crash took place on Tuesday afternoon in the city of Rock Hill, leading to the untimely death of a woman. The victim has been identified by the York County Sheriff’s Office as 49-year-old Ashley Bracey.
According to released reports, Ms. Bracey, a resident of the city, was riding her motorcycle when an unexpected collision occurred with a 2013 Toyota Tundra at the crossroads of Mount Gallant Road and Celanese Road.
The autopsy to determine the exact cause of death, as well as toxicology reports, are presently pending. The local police force is continuing their rigorous investigation into the collision, processing the scene and interviewing witnesses to give clarity to the unfortunate event.
In response to a call on Celanese Road and Mount Gallant Road around 6:30 p.m on Tuesday, the officers arrived at the scene. A preliminary investigation indicated a Toyota Tundra, model year 2013, was progressing south on Ceanese Road when it turned left onto Mount Gallant Road.
In the process of making the left turn, the truck collided with the 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle that Ms. Bracey rode north on Celanese Road, according to the initial police reports. The brutal impact left Ms.Bracey on the ground with severe injuries.
Emergency medical team were immediately at the spot and transported Ms. Bracey to a nearby hospital. Despite the quick actions of the emergency personnel on-site, Ms. Bracey succumbed to her injuries in the hospital, culminating in her unfortunate death.
