Rock Hill School District Celebrates Over 90 Graduates During Winter Commencement

Graduates from Northwestern High School, Rock Hill High School, and South Pointe High School made their way into the real world, armed with their high school diplomas and positive change they’d like to see in their respective futures.

Delivering the keynote address was Dean Faile, president of the York County Regional Chamber of Commerce, who shared an inspiring story with the graduates. Faile talked about why he keeps a turtle on his desk as a constant reminder of the importance of perseverance and determination in the face of adversity. “The turtle is a symbol of perseverance. It moves slowly and steadily towards its goal, and it achieves it because it never gives up. That’s the kind of spirit I hope you take with you as you step into the world,” Faile told the graduates.
