The call came in around 1 p.m., and upon arrival, officers discovered a woman who had sustained gunshot wounds to her hand and head. In close proximity, the body of a man was found in a car, the apparent victim of a shooting.

Injuries and Fatality

The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, was promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment. Tragically, the man has been identified as 31-year-old Lawrence Howard of Rock Hill. His body was examined by the York County Coroner’s Office, which confirmed that an autopsy and a toxicology report will take place next week.

Suspect Details

On Monday, Rock Hill Police arrested 35-year-old Melvin Robinson. He was initially charged with possession of a firearm by a person previously convicted of certain crimes. Following further investigation, additional warrants were issued against him, including charges for murder, attempted murder, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
