Rock Hill, SC – Football fans witnessed a jaw-dropping showdown on Friday night as the South Pointe Stallions mercilessly defeated the Camden Bulldogs with a staggering score of 64-0 in a Region 3 4A game that no one saw coming. This match not only marked a significant milestone for the Stallions but also delivered Camden one of its most challenging defeats in years.
Going into the game, both teams had their fair share of aspirations, but it was South Pointe (4-2, 2-0) that came out swinging, showcasing their skill and finesse right from the get-go. It took a little while for the Stallions to find their rhythm, but once they got going, the floodgates opened and the Bulldogs just couldn’t keep up.
The scoring frenzy kicked off midway through the first quarter when Lorenzo Cardarelli nailed a field goal, putting the Stallions on the board at 3-0. But things really heated up just minutes later when Cam McMillion launched a spectacular 75-yard touchdown pass to Dailan Duncan, pushing the lead to 10-0. That’s when South Pointe switched from ‘warmup’ mode to ‘game on’.
As the first quarter continued, Camden’s hope for a comeback began to dwindle when an interception fell into the hands of South Pointe’s players. Taking full advantage of the opportunity, Mason Hicks scored on a 14-yard run, followed by another 1-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter. Suddenly, the scoreboard read 24-0.
If that wasn’t enough, things only got worse for Camden as Jaden Barnett returned another interception for a 45-yard touchdown, and McMillion connected again, this time with Kaden Vassel for a huge 47-yard score, extending the lead to 37-0. As if Camden hadn’t had enough bad news, Hicks broke a 43-yard touchdown run. And to cap the half, K.J. Burg delivered the final blow with a 48-yard pick-6, sealing a jaw-dropping 50-0 lead for South Pointe at halftime.
The second half turned into a mere formality as South Pointe coasted through the remaining minutes, making their victory all the more impressive. They ended the game with a colossal score of 64-0, making a definitive statement in Region 3.
