This announcement came on Wednesday, celebrating Gerlich as one of four former players to be honored, alongside four esteemed coaches. The induction ceremony is scheduled for May 10, 2025, in San Antonio.

These eight men and women have left a lasting legacy on the high school hardwood with their victories, records and honors. They have also been great off-the-court ambassadors for basketball both within and outside the state of Texas.”

Coach Gerlich had an impressive high school career as a three-time All-State player while attending Sudan and Spearman high schools. Additionally, she was pivotal in her school’s success, winning state titles in cross country and excelling as an All-State track star. Her outstanding collegiate achievements include leading Texas Tech to its only national championship in basketball in 1993.

Other incoming members of the 2025 class include notable names such as LaQuan Stallworth, Darryn Shearmire, and Greg Kite as players, and coaches Danny Nix, Stan Leech, Pamela Crawford, and Tommy Aldridge.
