Twin Peaks and Firebirds Wood Fired Grill Arrive in Fort Mill

Twin Peaks and Firebirds Set Course to Fort Mill

Fort Mill, a burgeoning city renowned for its progressive business environment, is set to welcome two new establishments to its culinary scene – Twin Peaks and Firebirds Wood Fired Grill. The former has already begun operations since July 22, 2024, while the latter is slated for a grand opening ceremony on August 26.

A Peak Experience

Twin Peaks opened its fourth South Carolina restaurant location in Fort Mill, just across the street from Carowinds, the famous theme park. The casual dining chain has made the most of its strategic location by offering its customers a scenic view of the park’s roller coasters.

“We’ve got our patio facing the roller coasters,” said Ben Galpert, assistant general manager for Twin Peaks. “And we’re right off the interstate. We’ve got a nice location to come and watch the game.”

The interior of the establishment vividly echoes its outdoorsy name, featuring a log cabin-themed decor adorned with taxidermy mounts, bark-covered bar chairs, and a pervasive scheme of red-and-black flannel on the upholstery and waitstaff uniforms. The restaurant is located next to Cabela’s sporting goods store off Carowinds Boulevard.

Firebirds Prepares for Debut

Stepping aside from its chain of successes in Charlotte and Greenville, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is looking forward to opening its first Fort Mill location. The restaurant will be positioned at the Mills Crossing shopping center at 2140 S.C. Highway 160, located south of the Tega Cay area. Currently, the casual dining restaurant is intensively recruiting staff for its approaching inauguration.

Further Developments

Aside from Twin Peaks and Firebirds, several other eateries and franchises are finding their footing in Fort Mill. Among these is First Watch, a breakfast and brunch hotspot. The brand is currently expanding with a second York County location at the Anderson Landing shopping center, 2320 Cherry Road, Rock Hill.

Adding to the list, Dunkin’ Donuts also opened a new outlet on July 9 at 1344 East S.C. Highway 160, near Springfield Highway in Fort Mill. With new developments on the horizon, Fort Mill’s culinary landscape is set for an exciting transformation, promising its residents a taste of world-class casual dining.
