The 2024 Vermont high school fall football season has officially started, bringing a wave of energy and enthusiasm to the local communities. As teams take to the field, fans are eager to see how their favorite squads will perform this year.
In the latest games, several teams displayed remarkable skills and teamwork. Harwood faced off against Rice, securing a tight victory with a score of 2-1. Harwood’s Roanha Chalmers and Briley Rutledge both scored, while Rice’s Sara Guidice added a goal for her team. Harwood’s solid first half made all the difference.
In another exciting match, Windsor dominated White River Valley with a stunning score of 6-0. Audrey Rupp was the standout player, contributing 4 goals and 1 assist. Windsor’s impressive performance demonstrated their readiness for the season ahead.
U-32 claimed a strong victory against Green Mountain Valley, winning 3-0. Meredith Wilcox was a key player for U-32, netting 2 goals. Their defense also remained strong, with goalkeeper Keilghan Miller making 8 saves.
Also notable was the match between Middlebury and Fair Haven, which ended in a draw at 2-2. Middlebury’s Jazmyn Hurley and Solstice Binder each scored, while Maddy Perry scored twice for Fair Haven to keep the match competitive until the final whistle.
