Vermont High School Fall Sports Season Heats Up

This week in Vermont, the high school fall sports season continued to engage fans with exciting matches across various sports, including football, soccer, volleyball, and field hockey. With numerous games held throughout the state, students showcased their skills and determination on the field.

In the soccer arena, the highlight was the matchup between Milton and Rice, where Milton emerged victorious with a score of 4-1. Cianna Tomasi led the charge for Milton with an impressive performance, scoring all three of her goals in the second half, while Logan Freeman contributed one goal and two assists. For Rice, Reese Billings managed to net one goal amidst the team’s struggle.

In another notable game, Peeples dominated Lyndon with a commanding 11-0 victory. Harrison Frazee was a standout player, scoring five goals, while teammates contributed to the score, marking a remarkable season for the Wolves with a current record of 12-2.

Stowe faced Lyndon and ended the match at 7-0, with all players fighting hard under the pressure. Meanwhile, in volleyball, Colchester put up a strong fight against Missisquoi, winning decisively with a score of 3-0.

Looking ahead, fans can expect more great matchups as the schedule heats up. Upcoming fixtures include BFA-St. Albans visiting Colchester and Champlain Valley taking on Rice. For those wanting to catch the games live, many will start at 4 p.m. or 6 p.m. depending on the event.
