Vermont High School Football Teams Shine in Recent Matches

The fall high school sports season in Vermont is in full swing, and it has been an exciting week for local football teams. The latest scores and game highlights provide a glimpse into how teams are shaping up as the season progresses.

This week, North Country clinched a decisive 8-1 victory against Lyndon, showcasing strong performances from players like Alex Giroux, who scored an impressive 4 goals. Meanwhile, the North Country defense held strong, thanks to Cam Gustin‘s dominating goalkeeping, making 7 saves.

In another match-up, Essex proved their mettle with a 3-0 win against Rice. Players like Riley Austin contributed significantly with 6 kills and numerous digs, while Reese Gregory helped control the game with 13 assists and 6 aces.

On the field hockey front, U-32 defeated Lake Region in a close match, finishing 3-1, featuring standout performances from Maddox Heise with 2 goals. The competitive spirit was evident as every team fought for their place, making for thrilling plays and intense moments.
