His exceptional performance throughout the regular season, where he led the Eagles in scoring with an impressive 14.3 points per game and 5.6 rebounds, solidified his position as one of the top players in the conference.
Talford’s accomplishments extend beyond just this season, as he recently joined the elite group of players in Winthrop’s history to score over 1,000 points in his career. Additionally, he reached the 500-rebound milestone, showcasing his versatility and impact on the team. With 1,323 points and 658 rebounds to his name, Talford has etched his name in the Winthrop record books and further solidified his legacy as one of the program’s all-time greats.
Alex Timmerman, another crucial player for the Eagles, was honored for his dedication to academics by being named to the Big South All-Academic Team.
