Rock Hill, S.C. – Winthrop University baseball team will be facing off against rival Queens University on Tuesday afternoon in a highly anticipated Battle of I-77 showdown in Charlotte, North Carolina.

This will be the 3rd meeting between Winthrop and Queens, with the series currently tied at 1-1. Last season, Winthrop emerged victorious in the first game in Charlotte but Queens retaliated with a win in Rock Hill.
Winthrop is poised to make history with the opportunity to become the all-time wins leader in the Big South since 1986. The team is currently 3rd in overall pitching in the conference and has standout pitchers like Reese Lumpkin and Riley Huge leading the stats.
