Investigation Underway Following Death of York County Inmate
York County officials are launching an investigation after a 40-year-old inmate at the York County Detention Center passed away due to a medical emergency at a local hospital on Monday.

According to the sheriff’s office, a prisoner was observed in medical distress around 6.30 p.m. Following this observation, emergency medical services (EMS) hastily transported the inmate to a nearby hospital.
