Furthermore, an 8.09-mile march known as a “ruck” will take place to honor Detective Doty’s sacrifice.

The Sheriff’s Foundation of York County has also taken the initiative to create a fund in Detective Doty’s name to support law enforcement officers in need. His twin brother, Chris Doty, has put forth a touching request; he encourages the community to make it a point to thank all first responders they encounter as a heartfelt tribute to his brother’s incredible legacy.
